Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Mar 2021

Limited to one case per customer. The 2016 Aligoté offers fascinating insight into the unparalleled quality of Leroy’s domaine wines. Lalou Bize-Leroy’s meticulous attention to detail and pioneering approach in viticulture have made the wines Burgundy’s most collectable. The grape’s natural acidity and freshness combined with Domaine Leroy’s low-yielding old vines produce a brilliant, textural, vibrant and complex wine that can compete with Burgundy’s top Chardonnays and age just as beautifully too. The yields in 2016 were decimated by spring frosts – but what survived in this small vintage was exceptional and only adds to the rarity of this wine. Each bottle is individually numbered and proof-tagged.
