Bourgogne Régional encompasses Bourgogne Blanc, Rouge, Passetoutgrains and Aligoté, as well as the Bourgogne bottlings from specific regions – the relatively recent Bourgogne Côte d’Or, as well as Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise, Bourgogne Côtes du Couchois and Bourgogne Chitry.

Bourgogne bottlings are often a source of great value and an excellent introduction to a producer’s style. Top vignerons will often declassify village parcels to their Bourgogne Blanc or Rouge, while Aligoté – which was once only used for Kir in bars and cafés – has benefited from climate change.
