Tasting Notes
This south-facing four-hectare vineyard is on a gentle slope with clay and limestone soils ripens late, generally producing a more delicate style of Savigny. The 2023 has the site’s trademark floral aromatics, with a very pretty but dark-fruited nose. The palate is deliciously sweet, yet framed by chalky, fine tannins. It feels so full of joie de vivre – a vibrant wine of lovely finesse and purity, without lacking any density to back this up in the long term. A delicious wine that will be endlessly rewarding.

The Savigny Lavières starts out with an invigorating fresh purple colour, with a delicious raspberry fruit. Much purer than the Clos du Château seems today. Slightly earthy at the finish, which is very long.
