FINE+RARE, Oct 2024
As with Fourrier’s Latricières-Chambertin, this old-vine plot (a stately 70 years) is up against the Route des Grands Crus. Violet and rose perfume mingle with sweet purple fruit – a wine that is full of juicy intensity. The tannins are subtle but powerful, building gradually to provide grip then washed away by the wine’s mouthwatering acidity. The fruit drives through to a long, persistent finish. Structured yet dainty, a wine of finesse.

About the producer
Jean-Marie Fourrier
Jean-Marie Fourrier is the négociant arm of Domaine Fourrier, introduced from the 2011 vintage. Fourrier established the operation to expand his Burgundy offering yet not wishing to lumber his children with the massive debt that purchasing additional vineyards would incur.
