FINE+RARE, Oct 2021
Wow. This is an immense wine. As with the Latricières, the plot is up against the Route des Grands Crus and the vines are a modest 70 years in age. The result is not shy: structured and powerful Chambertin that currently towers a little sternly. The tannins provide a firm grip – ripe but present. It’s layered with dark, rich fruit, building in intensity with each second. Astounding intensity and potential. Superb.
