Tasting Notes
Elegant and refined, the wine captures the striking aromatics of the vintage. The nose is especially fine, with notes of black cherry, red fruit, rose and a light touch of sweet liquorice, with smoke and a slight menthol note emerging with air. On the palate the fruit is well balanced and harmonious, backed by fantastic acidity and an overriding purity of fruit. It has great impact in the mouth, more elegant than overbearing – with a surprising softness that is harnessed by refined tannins. For its detail and ‘lightness of being’, this is a Brunello for the Burgundy lover.
