Tasting Notes
The Vosne-Romanee Colombiere is a step up from the generic village – and also a more serious and backward wine at this stage – presumably mostly due to a slight reduction. The nose offer amble fruit but is somewhat influenced by the reduction currently. On the palate rich and weighty fruit – juicy fresh and elegant – with an almost 1er cru like intensity – this is a magnificent village in the making. I love the generosity and the balance in this wine – looking forward to see this unfold. Jun 2016, www.winehog.org

(a .78 ha parcel of vines between 50 and 70 years of age). This is also quite reduced. The medium-bodied flavors possess a slightly finer and rounder mouth feel while delivering fine length if perhaps not quite the same complexity on the well-balanced finale. I very much like the texture and this too should be quite good, especially if allowed a few years of cellaring to better develop more depth. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
The 2015 Vosne-Romanee La Colombiere was showing just a slight reduction on the nose, but tucked underneath lie attractive mulberry and raspberry preserve aromas. The palate has a savory note on the entry, a crisp line of acidity, nicely structured with veins of blood orange and orange rind that enhance the finish. It does not possess the length of the premier crus, yet it represents a very capable village cru. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
