Score 92/100 · FINE+RARE
Bright, slick ruby. Coats the glass, lots of extract. Bottle slightly chilled as straight from the cellar. Dark, deep cherry nose, fragrant, fresh raspberry, candy floss. Gorgeous, fresh, crunchy sweet red fruit, very complete. Lovely ripeness throughout. Some grip and perfume on the finish. Outstanding, generous Bourgogne Rouge. Drink now or over the next 5+ years. Domaine Michel Gaunoux
Domaine Michel Gaunoux is today run by Michel’s grandchildren, Anne and Alexandre, with a guiding hand from their mother. Everything here is extremely traditional, and the family has been quietly making rich, complex and age-worthy Pommard and Corton for over half a century.
