Tasting Notes
Very punchy and powerful on the nose. A touch of graphite, and some sweet fruit. Purity again, and that distinct Cavallotto breeding. It’s slightly Latour-esque in that this is a wine that knows how good it is. Aristocratic. All with an elegant polish. This is delicate and delicious, balanced and correct. Very good.

“Cask sample. Pale crimson. Very beguiling nose with some treacle toffee quality. Scented and jewelly. Really rather subtle. Notably dry but not drying finish. Not one of the most intense - and it doesn’t actually taste as though it came from a hot vintage, but it’s beautifully balanced. 14.5%. Drink 2017-2029.”
The 2011 Barolo Bricco Boschis shows those telltale characteristics of the vintage with resin, tar and licorice in center stage. Dark cherry, prune and blackberry follow in quick succession. It also delivers a gorgeous level of power and velvety intensity that distinguish Cavallotto's wines. I remember the 2010 edition of this wine was one of the most representational of the entire vintage. The same holds true for the 2011 Barolo Bricco Boschis with regards to this current vintage.
