Dario Ciacci's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino offers a beautiful and unique interpretation of the vintage with savory tones of spice and bresaola backed by fresher notes of red cherry, blackberry and creme de cassis. You also get a high degree of grilled herb and pressed flower that hammer home the wine's varietal trueness. It shows silky tannins and an extremely polished approach. A sweet note of cherry and vanilla appears on the close. This is a Brunello of medium density but long persistence. It should hold for ten years or more. Feb 2015, www.robertparker.com
