Tasting Notes
The 2000 Barolo Falletto is a burly and intense effort with much tar and licorice in its aromas and flavors. Solid and well concentrated, its muscular tannins and burly texture are characteristic of the more concentrated wines of the 2000 vintage. Authoritative and with plenty of grip, it will undoubtedly improve over the next 15 years of useful life it will doubtlessly enjoy. Daniel Thomases

2000 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Falletto—Color is a dark burnished ruby. Notes of mint, eucalyptus, flowers and tar appear on the nose. This is a wine of wonderful length and persistence that boasts a rich, soft palate of ripe to over-ripe fruit and a very satisfying finish. A very accessible Barolo.
