Margaret River

Three hours’ south of Perth, Margaret River is a paradise for both surfers and wine-lovers. Although the first vines were only planted in the 1960s, today it produces a range of fruit-driven yet restrained wines – most notably Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon/Semillon blends.

About Margaret River

The wines of Margaret River

The most famous wine region in the vast state of Western Australia, Margaret River is also renowned for its great surf. Its vineyards aren’t far from the waves that crash on its shoreline and the maritime climate produces wines that are always firmly Australian, but with a salty air of restraint.
