Deep garnet-purple colored. Rolls out of the glass with evocative notes of stewed red plums, fresh strawberries, and red currants, leading to hints of dried herbs, crushed rocks, and black olives. The light-bodied palate is lively and refreshing with a slight dip in the mid-palate and a soft-textured finish.
Crushed raspberry, red cherry, fragrant floral and spice notes, 36hl/h yield. Increase of Cabernet Franc in the vineyard, first year with Christophe Congé as technical director, coming over from Lafon Rochet. Harvest 24 September to 19 October. 3.66 pH. 50% new oak.
The 2024 Fleur de Pédesclaux contains more Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot than previous vintages. It has a pure and perfumed nose that is quite Margaux-like in style, with touches of blue fruit emanating from the Petit Verdot. The palate is medium-bodied, well balanced and pure with supple tannins and a silky-smooth finish. This is a very pleasant Deuxième Vin from Pédesclaux.
