Tasting Notes
This wine is once again excellent for what is “just” a Coteaux Bourguignons, rivalling some top village appellations. The fruit for this cuvée comes from cooler vineyards on the limits of the Bourgogne appellation in Nantoux (where the vines are 80 years old), Saint-Romain and Nuits-Saint-Georges, classified as Coteaux Bourguignons (an appellation more often associated with reds). It is largely Chardonnay, with 10-15% Aligoté. The nose is fresh and round, with white florals and gentle peach aromas. There’s an instant kick of concentration and acidity on the palate; a crisp, easy-going wine that’s long and refreshing with a creamy texture and mouth-watering finish. A wine that deserves your attention – especially at this price point! Top quality.

Aged in foudre. No new oak. Racked cask sample. Rather sweet and rich on the nose. Not classy but adequate.
