The 2022 Ferrande Blanc is a tasty white that marries varietal Sauvignon expressiveness with plenty of energy and vibrancy. The Blanc is a bit assertive in its green, vegetal expression of Sauvignon yet also nicely done for an early-drinking white
The 2022 Château Ferrande Blanc checks in 45% Sémillon, 34% Sauvignon Gris, and the rest Sauvignon Blanc that's still resting in 15% in new barrels. Juicy citrus, lemon, pineapple, and minty herbs define the aromatics, and it’s medium-bodied, elegant, nicely textured, and balanced.
The 2022 Ferrande Blanc offers simple pear and grapefruit scents on the nose with a touch of nettle. The palate is well-balanced with good depth but lacks some tension toward the finish.
