Score 90-92/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, May 2024

Bright black raspberries, blue fruits, sappy flowers, incense, and spicy wood define the 2023 Château De Pressac, a pleasure-bent, medium to full-bodied, ripe, round, sexy 2023 that has soft tannins and tons of upfront charm. The 2023 is 73% Merlot, 14.5% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Carmenère, and Petit Verdot.

Flowers, licorice, spice, and black raspberries fill the perfume. Medium-bodied, soft, elegant, and fresh, with a vibrancy to the salt-tinted, chocolate-accented, red fruits in the finish.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 de Pressac needs a lot of patient swirling to bring out notes of redcurrant jelly and juicy plums leading to underlying hints of lilacs, pencil shavings, and fragrant earth. The medium-bodied palate is lively and soft-textured, with delicately layered, understated fruit and a perfumed, whispery finish. This is very pretty! The blend is 70% Merlot, 16.5% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Carmenere, 2% Malbec, and 0.5% Petit Verdot.

Really refined and focused with blackberry, blueberry and crushed stone. Medium-bodied with class and tension. Racy.
