FINE+RARE, Nov 2023
This is a mesmerising ruby colour. Fresh and perfumed, but not too much, there’s excellent fruit concentration to Charles van Canneyt’s entry-level bottling in 2022, made exclusively with grapes sourced from the Côte d’Or. It’s juicy and rich, with ripe red berry fruit and a hint of spice, surrounded by well-judged tannins. This is already so approachable, and will be ready to drink right out of the gate, but with such concentration, it has the potential to age gracefully over the next six or seven years.
