Tasting Notes
Leafy herbs, tobacco, currants, spice, and spearmint notes show easily in the nose, and on the long, rich palate. The wine finishes with creamy-textured currants, cocoa, spearmint, and bitter chocolate on the end note. This should age quite nicely. Drink from 2026-2045.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Meyney comes skipping out with delightful notes of wild blueberries, redcurrant jelly, and juicy plums, leading to hints of chocolate mint and lilacs. The medium to full-bodied palate is generously fruited, with a solid frame of grainy tannins to match, finishing with just enough freshness.
Deep, bright, crimson hue. Lively and lifted with a touch of well-integrated vanilla oak. Dark fruit and pencil lead as it opens. Ripe and juicy but keen and long as well. Plenty of polished tannin behind. Good acidity and refreshment. Dry but not drying finish. Poised and really rather fine. Clear potential. 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 13% Petit Verdot. 37 hl/ha. Cask sample.
Intensely fragrant and perfumed. Fresh and full on the palate, really quite ripe and concentrated fruit with tannins that are super ripe too - fleshy, almost like eating grape skins, so it's a touch dry but there's a really pleasing coolness too which stops it from being too much. On the whole quite tannic but a good punch of fruit too. Massy and a little unfussy unrefined. Tannins are doing the talking. Harvest 14 September-5 October. Yield of 37hl/ha. pH 3.75.
