Tasting Notes
An exuberantly fresh nose is comprised by notes of violet, newly turned earth and cool red cherry scents. There is just a bit more volume and weight to the supple and appealingly textured medium weight flavors that also conclude in a youthfully austere, balanced and lingering finale.Drink 2027+

Mostly derived from a parcel known as La pointe des Tuvilains, Croix's 2021 Beaune Village has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of sweet red berries, plums, blood orange and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit, melting tannins and a saline finish. It's an over-performer that will offer delicious drinking on release and for more than a decade after.
The 2021 Beaune Village, a blend of two lieux-dits, has a slightly more austere, graphite-tinged bouquet, but there is ample fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied, bright and lively. Vivid, mineral-infused dark red fruit appears towards the linear finish. Classy for its status.
A blend of Point de Tuvilains, Blanchisserie and 1er cru Bas de Theurons. A darker colour and a more sombre nose. Some whole bunch vivacity. A rich pure red fruit. There is significant density but less elegance here.
