Tasting Notes
Lignier has just 0.29 hectares of Bonnes-Mares, but what a wine he produces. This is much darker in the glass than many 2021s, with a vibrant purple shade. It’s a wine of remarkable delicacy, with fragrant yet fine, floral perfume. Rose creams, bright redcurrant and crushed raspberry with rosebuds. It opens up, fanning out, with waves of fruit washing over the palate. Talc-like tannins add texture, while the scent of Parma violets resounds on the finish.
