FINE+RARE, Oct 2022
This limited-edition Bowmore was distilled in 1990. After 29 years’ slumbering in a hogshead, the whisky was transferred to a mizunara cask (the rare Japanese oak). The barrel, however, had been seasoned for three years with Pedro Ximénez Sherry at Bodegas Fernando de Castilla. The combination is the first of its kind – a truly special and rare Islay single malt, with only 161 bottles produced. Each 70cl bottle is presented in a walnut giftbox.
