Tasting Notes
From ancient vines planted in 1912 which nonetheless apparently set a generous yield of 40 hl/ha. Small berries, but plenty of them. 100% whole bunch ,100% new wood. Black centre with purple rim. Very dense with a little whole bunch pepper. Dark fruit, but absolutely gorgeous. Sumptuous but balanced, seemingly endless on the palate. The fruit is mostly dark but it is beautifully balanced. 12.8% finished and with least acidity. Perfectly integrated tannins, “like a mattress” says Nicolas. This is great wine.
