Tasting Notes
Les Pucelles is an outstanding wine from Paul Pernot in 2020. Coming from three separate parcels in the vineyard, it is the most tensile, complex and linear of the Premiers Crus made at the domaine. The nose is uplifting with its delicate floral and mineral notes. Rich apricot and yellow orchard fruit notes mingle with stony, saline, mineral characters. The linearity on the palate – with mouth-watering freshness and added depth – is brilliant. The richness of fruit contrasts with the vibrant backbone of acidity to create beautiful balance. This has a very long finish. Exceptional.

Clear light bright colour. A nose with some distinction but not much exuberance. A little fruit ripeness then starts to emerge, with a little sucrosity behind, icing sugar on white fruit. Enough acidity, but I am missing the nobility of this potentially great vineyard
