Tasting Notes
Clos de la Garenne is less mineral than Champ-Canet, typically producing wines with greater depth and roundness which works well with Puligny-Montrachet’s natural linearity. The 2020 has light honeyed, yellow apple aromas and brilliant richness on the palate, offset by a great line of acidity. Yellow and pink orchard fruit, pineapple and sultana flavours fill the expansive palate. It has a beautifully soft, silky texture, with pure orchard fruit notes which last beautifully on the finish. This is a wine of impressive depth.

Very pale, a light nose with some floral character, very stony in the mouth, less flesh than the other Pernot Puligny 1ers Crus, less volume but a pleasing enough carry through.
