Tasting Notes
Here too the nose is quite floral with good layering in the form of mostly white orchard fruit and citrus confit. There is better intensity to the more obviously mineral-driven medium weight flavors that flash touches of austerity and lemon rind on the sneaky long finish. This is worth checking out. Offering up notions of white flowers, pear, mint and almond paste, the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Frionnes is medium too full-bodied, bright and precise, with a crisp core of fruit, tangy acids and a chalky finish. This, too, has turned out very well, defying any stereotypes of the vintage.
About the producer

Joseph Colin has fast become one of the Côte de Beaune’s most fashionable names. His first commercial vintage was only 2017, when he officially stepped away from the family business, Domaine Marc Colin.
