Tasting Notes
Inky black almost opaque colour. Brooding black fruit with light bloody, raw meat tones, decent oak with scented cloves too. Rich, ripe, succulent, rounded, expansive and supple tannins. Good mouth-watering acidity balances the wine despite the weighty opulence of the fruit. Black cherry, plum and juicy cassis fruit in abundance.

So much blueberry and black-olive character here with concentration of fruit and powerful yet polished tannins. Chewy and juicy.
Concentrated and controlled cassis fruits. Violet edged ruby colour, this has noticeable grip running through the palate and lush tannins. There is austerity evident on the close of play with tannins that are serious and slightly chewy. Brilliant stuff from a vineyard located right next to Trotanoy.
The 2019 Bourgneuf has a deep garnet-purple color, opening with notes of sautéed herbs, woodsmoke and damp earth over a core of baked plums, warm blackberries and raspberry leaves plus a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, chewy tannins and bold freshness supporting the muscular black and blue fruits, finishing with an herbal lift.
