The 2016 Beaune les Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc was cropped at around 22 or 23 hectoliters per hectare, much higher than the Meursault. It has a pretty bouquet with hints of white flower and clear honey, with traces of nutmeg and walnut developing in the glass. The palate is well balanced with ginger and cardamom on the opening, a little viscous in texture, but there is a wonderful spicy finish that lingers in the mouth long after this has departed. I much prefer this to the Meursault Village, and it comes recommended. Dec 2017, www.robertparker.com
