Tasting Notes
Super silky and plush but with a great core of perfectly ripe red plum and blackberry fruit aromas, vibrant spice, allied with meaty, savoury and herbal notes of rosemary and sage. Full and rounded on the palate, yet very focused with a lovely finesse, not so typical of the appellation. The wine retains tautness and fresh acidity whilst bursting with fleshy black plums and a voluptuous body beautifully typifying just how good the vintage is in Chateauneuf du Pape.

Loaded with scents of roses and exotic spices, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape is a super entry-level effort. It's 85% Grenache aged in concrete, with the balance Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah that's aged in demi-muids. Full-bodied, velvety and long, it delivers opulent black raspberry fruit framed by silky tannins.
