Tasting Notes
Expressive. Cool, very pure, red berry fruit - strawberry, raspberry, plum. Precise, mouth coating. Plump and fleshy, hint of creaminess. Extremely harmonious, a character that typifies the vintage. This is shining, outstanding value, without doubt best since the tremendous 2009. Must buy.
Open on the nose with an abundance of bright, red, crunchy fruit; cranberry, raspberry, strawberry all carry through to a velvety and creamy palate. Bright, ripe acidity really lifts the wine and gives a long finish of sweet red fruit. Oct 2016

The 2015 Cote de Nuits Village Le Vaucrain has a slightly aloof, dark berry and earl grey-tinged bouquet that is very appealing. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, not a wine of great finesse, but it offers plenty of depth and roundness, the finish offering a surfeit of delicious red cherry and strawberry fruit.
