Tasting Notes
There are three barrels of 2013 Montrachet Grand Cru since Laurent Ponsot has a second joint-venture that has expanded his production in this historic vineyard (though he did not divulge who with!) It has a touch of reduction on the nose but there seems to be good intensity underneath. The palate is very well balanced with nigh perfect acidity. Lightly honeyed with hints of brioche and walnut, it gradually builds toward a really quite effortless finish. After my cautious reaction to the 2012, this might be the better "Monty" from Laurent Ponsot. Excellent. Dec 2014, www.robertparker.com
