Tasting Notes
This has the creamy magic texture of all superb 2015 Pomerol. Full and ultra-velvety with a creamy, minerally and citrus rind mouth feel. Amazing depth of fruit. A triumph. 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com

Dense, with a muscular feel, though the core of cassis and blackberry paste is very pure. This is inlaid with some hefty roasted apple wood and melted licorice notes, giving way to warm Christmas pudding on the finish, all while maintaining a serious tannic spine. A Jean-Pierre Moueix wine. 4 ha (10 acres) of gravel and clay. 82% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc. Mid ruby. Broad and floral on the nose. Good attack though a little moderate in impact. Not a blockbuster! But very gentle and mild. Appetising. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2025-2038
4ha vineyard. Powerful but subdued. Masses of dark fruit on the nose – blackcurrant to the fore. Huge depth on the palate backed by abundant tannins that are finely polished with no aggression. Freshness and enormous length on the finish. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2023-2040
About the producer

Château Hosanna is a relatively young wine label in Pomerol, but one with some of the richest heritage in the entire region. It couldn’t be better situated with Château Lafleur to the north, Vieux Château Certan to the south and flanked on either side by Pétrus and Château Lafleur-Pétrus.
