2014 Gevrey Chambertin Clos du Fonteny Monopole

The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Clos de Fonteny, the monopole of the domaine, has an easy going bouquet with raspberry and crushed strawberry fruit -- a bouquet reclining in its comfy armchair. The palate is well balanced and has more vigor. I like the purity here and the candied orange peel that give the finish that exotic touch, for those who prefer a more "daring" Gevrey.
