Layers of pure red fruits, grilling herbs and perfume on the nose. The palate is fresh and exuberant with ripe acidity and powdery tannins fused with crunchy red fruit. Lovely tension and mineralty on the finish. Very pure and elegant. Dec 2015Dec 2015

The 2014 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru les Dominodes has that sense of density and volume on the nose, typical of this great vineyard. Blackberry and briary scents, sous-bois coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with thickset tannin, very well judged acidity, lovely structure and symmetry here with a long, mineral-driven finish that is totally satisfying. This is a great Savigny from Pavelot, one that should be afforded long-term ageing (if possible). Dec 2015, www.robertparker.com
