This wine was unimpressive from cask. Tasted four times from bottle in November, the wine exhibited very good ripe cassis fruit and a round, medium-bodied, soft, juicy personality on two occasions, and a lighter-bodied, more simplistic, tannic character at two other tastings. It is a large estate, so perhaps there is some unexpected bottle variation, but this wine can be a reasonably good value and an attractive 1992 for drinking over the next 5-6 years. The question mark signifies the confusing array of evaluations I experienced. Dec 1994, www.robertparker.com
