Tasting Notes
This is a little closed on the nose today though some depth and class evident. Bright fruit on the palate, more with time. Restrained again in the mouth though the class is again evident. This will need time but lots of potential.

There is enough herbal character to notice but not dominate the layered mix of red and black currant aromas that are subtly laced with Asian style spice nuances. There is fine volume to the attractively rich medium-bodied flavors that possess a velvety mouth feel on the serious if not especially refined finish that displays some mildly worrying, if restrained, astringency. My score offers this the benefit of the doubt, but I would probably give this 5 to 7 years in the cellar and then drink up. Tasted: Apr 15, 2014. Drink: 2017+
