Tasting Notes
Firm and structured with very cocoa fruit. For us this is just a little hard right now but is so stuffed with good components that it should blossom with time. Clearly classy.

This deeply coloured Clinet is full-bodied and generous with tannins that are ripe and dominating the palate at the moment. This will no doubt be a very good wine in 8 to 10 years time but it won't be approachable for at least 5 years. There is substance here and it will open up to reveal a powerful full-bodied Pomerol. asianpalate.com
Clinet owner, Ronan Laborde, used what he called a classic Pomerol blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. At 14.6 % alcohol, than they achieved in 2009. Effective yields are also lower than in 2009. In fact, they are close to 25% less, which means there will be a lot less wine in the marketplace from this outstanding vintage. Opaque in color, explosive, floral, plum, black fruit, jammy berry, oak, chocolate and black raspberry scents create a beguiling perfume. This complex, spicy wine coats your palate with layers of pure, sweet, ripe plums. This is a hedonistic, sensuous style of Pomerol that blends intensity with pleasure and chocolate covered ripe fruit. winecellarinsider.com
Nothing on the palate and then all of a sudden it blasts off on the finish. Superb Clinet. Full and velvety. Juicy. jamessuckling.com

With Ronan Laborde at the helm, this property has become one of Pomerol’s most sought-after. He has increased the proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which historically represented half the vineyard area here.
