Blueberry and spices on the nose. Medium-bodied, with vanilla, currant and mineral. Simple
Tasted at Vintex. This has a very fine, very delineated bouquet with black cherries, blueberry, a touch of cassis and some citrus fruit. It blossoms beautifully in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, good tension here, silky smooth with crisp blackberry and briary on the minerally finish. This is a great Cru Bourgeois. Tasted March 2010
Fifty percent Merlot and the rest largely Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is another quite charming and endearing 2009. Dark plum/ruby, with notes of underbrush, forest floor and black currants, this ripe, medium-bodied wine has low acidity and is ideal for drinking over the next 7-10 years.
