Tasting Notes
Performing far better than it did from barrel two years ago, L’Arrosee’s 2012 offers very fragrant, dark raspberry, black cherry and currant notes that jump from the glass of this wine. It’s an intriguing blend of 60% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, an almost Burgundian complexity, forest-floor notes and medium to full-bodied richness and depth. This is a stunner, complex, precocious, and hard to resist, even in its youthfulness. Drink over the next 15 years. Apr 2015, www.robertparker.com

About the producer

Ch. l’Arrosée was a 9.5-hectare vineyard in Saint-Emilion. After the château was sold to Domaine Clarence Dillon (owners of Ch. Haut-Brion and Ch. la Mission Haut-Brion) in 2013, the wine was discontinued and the grapes are now used for Ch. Quintus.
