2006 Charmes Chambertin

In its sweetly ripe cherry fruit and relatively open, silken-textured yet refreshing palate, the Potel 2006 Charmes-Chambertin aptly illustrates the virtues of its site and vintage. Suggestions of red berry and herbal distillates, musk, vanilla, and a whiff of game add complexity that follows into a soothing, lingering finish.
