Tasting Notes
This is the last vintage of this 0.17-hectare plot of 100-year-old vines, which were uprooted after 2022, set to be replanted in 2024. The old-vine intensity adds to the natural power of this site, tamed by the warmth of the vintage. It’s laden with supple fruit that is balanced by a grip of firm, typically Gevrey tannins – adding texture and framing the fruit. Although it was a warm year, this Premier Cru is vibrant, bursting with bright cherry and deliciously smooth-textured, edged by savoury, earthy tones – everything needed to evolve over the next 10 to 15 years. Exclusive to FINE+RARE in the UK.
