Tasting Notes

Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Nov 2023

Remoissenet’s reds were particularly good this year – and the Clos Vougeot was the crème de la crème of the range. From a domaine-owned plot, the nose is dark and brooding, lifted by sweeter tones. On the palate, it’s broad, dense and tight with a satisfying herbaceous freshness. There’s a rush of juicy bramble fruit with black cherries and blueberries cut by brighter redcurrant, creamy tannins that cushion the whole, while a line of acidity pushes the wine on to a savoury, smoky finish.
