FINE+RARE, Nov 2023
At first this feels closed – quiet and brooding with hints of the dark fruit that lies beneath. With air, however, the wine reveals its depths – the lush fruit expansive and filling the mouth, with brighter red-berry tones joining the darker bramble notes. The tannins are firm but sweet, a velvet bed for the waves of fruit to crash against. The finish is long, smoky and mineral. Aged in 100% new oak.
