Tasting Notes
Wow – what a wine this is! The nose is fully of chalky purity, cool and fresh, yet with honey blossom lifting from the glass. With air, layers of peach and tarte tatin emerge. The palate is delicious – fleshy and moreish, reminiscent of grilled hazelnuts drizzled with honey. It’s saline and mouthwatering, a touch of chamomile sitting alongside the peach fruit, leading onto the racy, pure finish. Gorgeous.
About the producer

The epitome of old-school Burgundy, the Meursault-based Domaine Robert Ampeau crafts traditional wines, both red and white. Today run by Michel Ampeau, the property’s wines are – unlike most producers today – only released when they are ready to drink, often with 20-plus years in bottle.
