Tasting Notes
While this whisky has an estimated market value of £3,500 (and expected to be higher at the point of bottling given its rarity), it is currently available for £2,160 per 70cl bottle in bond, saving over £1,400. Littlemill is a precious Lowland distillery that is forever lost in time. Occasionally bottlings from the humbly named producer, which fell silent in 1994 and was consumed by fire 10 years later, become available – but liquid is increasingly rare. This whisky was distilled in 1990, four years before Littlemill closed its doors for good, and has been slumbering in a refill Bourbon cask ever since. Destined to be bottled in 2025 as a 35-year-old spirit, it's stored at Loch Lomond Distilleries where Master Distiller Michael Henry is watching its maturation. Exclusively available from FINE+RARE, this special single malt is presented in a stunning hand-blown Glencairn decanter and wooden giftbox. Only 180 bottles of this rare whisky from the lose Lowland legend will ever exist. While this incredible whisky won't be bottled until 2025, we'll send you, or any lucky recipient, a certificate of ownership for your bottle(s).
About the producer
Littlemill is the oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland. Whisky from the Lowland producer is incredibly rare and is no longer being produced after the distillery was closed, demolished and consumed by fire.
