Tasting Notes
Louis XIII miniature is almost as iconic as the larger 70cl format. It is an exquisite piece of craftmanship and no two are exactly the same. Each Baccarat decanter takes a minimum of two weeks to produce by hand. This, however is a mere fraction of the time required to produce the remarkable liquid within. Only the finest grapes from the Grande Champagne region are selected to one day become Louis XIII. A single decanter contains approximately 1,200 eaux de vie, distilled on lees, and matured up to 100 years in traditional Limousin oak casks called tierçons, which are over one century in age.
