Tasting Notes
This is one of Remoissenet’s domaine wines and one of the finest in an impressive line-up of 2019s. Ideally situated in the southwest of the clos, Remoissenet’s vines border the Grand Cru of Echezeaux. It is the tannin structure that makes this wine stand out. They create a wonderful textural depth, while reaching a level of maturity that defies Vougeot’s somewhat austere reputation. This subtle structure is enveloped in rich, red raspberry and darker forest fruit flavours of excellent clarity. The wine has a lovely overriding freshness, beautifully balanced with a lovely energy on the long finish. Just four barrels produced.
