Tasting Notes
Sirius has a stellar track record of sourcing exclusive casks for limited editions that have done exceptionally well in the market. The Sirius Dalmore 44 Year Old 1967 has appreciated significantly since it launched earlier this year. Released at £4,000, it is now retailing at £10,300. The whisky is matured in Macallan's signature Sherry casks from Jerez and is described as “the classic old style from this world renowned, titanic of a distillery from Speyside. Beautiful sweet rich dried fruitiness with a hint of highland malty peat”. Peated malt has only occasionally been used in Macallan's history and is a mark of great distinction in a number of celebrated and legendary pre- and immediately post-war bottlings. Only 690 bottles in total are being bottled of this exceptional liquid and we have been given the opportunity to offer it to our clients first, with an option of a further improved price on purchases of three or more bottles. The exquisite crystal decanters will be filled by the leading Scotch whisky crystal maker, Glencairn, with the crest of Sirius engraved on the front, and ‘Distilled at Macallan Distillery’ on the back. It also comes complete with a crystal stopper and is presented in an elegant leather-bound circular tube.
