Tasting Notes
Great aromatic focus and complexity - honey blossom, acacia, honeycomb, light peppery spice, ginger and earthy mineral clay. The palate has a wonderful textural finesse with pink apple, mango, citrus oil and dried candy flavours, beautifully balanced with a refreshing acidity and lovely energised vinosity. This has all the taut precision you would expect from 2014 with a beautiful counterpoint of ripe, juicy, opulent fruit typical of the Thévenet cellar. Incredible wine for the money!
About the producer

Domaine de la Bongran is no ordinary Mâconnais estate. Since Jean Thévenet took over the domaine in 1972, this Viré-Clessé producer has become a cult name – with Jean a pioneer of organics and minimal intervention, as well as the estate’s unique wine style.
