FINE+RARE, Apr 2020
The 2014 Venissa Bianco is a classic. The combination of honey, dried apricots, almond, orange blossom and sea salt on the nose encapsulate perfectly the complex maturity and Northern Rhone-style viscosity and florality of this long-lived wine, with the saltiness being quintessentially Venissa lagoon. Fresh yet weighty on the palate, with long, complex layers, beautifully elegant texture, super fine but impressive breadth on the palate and a great backbone of acidity and that satisfying saline finish, this is a true beauty.
