Part of the Gros family and based in Vosne-Romanée, Jean Gros established his eponymous domaine with four hectares of vines, including the famed monopole Clos des Réas, expanding the vineyards over the years.
More about Jean Gros
Having made wine with his brother François under the Gros Père & Fils label, the late Jean Gros established this domaine, starting with four hectares of vines: the monopole Premier Cru Clos des Réas, 0.5 hectares of Richebourg and 0.5 hectares of village Vosne-Romanée. He continued to build the property’s reputation, adding vineyards, including a parcel of Clos Vougeot in 1967, as well as parcels in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Bougogne and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.
